July is Independent Retail Month! Help support small business by shopping at your favorite independent retailer this month.
A dollar spent at an independent retailer is usually spent 6 to 15 times before it leaves the community. From $1, you create $5 to $14 in value within that community. Shopping with an independent retailer supports local traders, their suppliers and the people they depend on to run their businesses. Buying from an independent retailer boosts your local economy, rebuilding confidence in the community, enabling local businesses to prosper and grow.
When you spend $1 at a national chain store, 80% of the money leaves town immediately. When you shop with your local independent retailers you are doing your bit to keep your community ‘open for business’.
We look forward to celebrating independent retailers with you!
What is your favorite part of shopping at sara jane children’s boutique and other independent retailers?
My favorite part of being an independent retailer is being able to offer exceptional customer service by getting to know all my customers, not only on a first name basis- but I get to know their families, their birthdays, and being a part of special events in their lives. From when a couple finds out that they are pregnant and they want to buy their first baby item, t0 when they find out the gender and can’t wait to share it with you, and when the baby is born and they can’t wait to pick out an adorable going home outfit- this is why I do what I do. Being able to grow with a child is the most rewarding thing. I think it’s important to keep these boutiques alive and support small business because it’s community. I’m not a big CEO, I’m a small business owner. I’m also a daughter, wife, a neighbor, a friend…. I see you at the grocery store, at church, and community events around town. I love my Savannah and encourage you with the changing dynamic of businesses around town to support local retailers and businesses.
